Due to its massive size, GoDaddy is able to offer highly discounted web solutions, especially their top-notch domain registration services that are unparalleled throughout the world.

GoDaddy Hosting Plans
GoDaddy offers four main types of hosting services and gives more priority to lower cost price plans. Their website builder package has been designed for absolute beginners and also offers shared hosting solutions as well. GoDaddy’s three shared hosting plans include:
Godaddy.com also offers dedicated and virtual servers at competitively low prices with a choice of both OS. The company’s five options for VPS hosting range from 40GB of storage, 1TB of bandwidth and 1 GB of RAM to 240GB of storage, 8TB of bandwidth and 8GB of RAM. Each also can be customized to varying levels of hosting management. GoDaddy’s five dedicated server plans run on Linux operating systems and offer resources that range from 2GB to 32GB of RAM, 512GB to 2TB of storage and 5TB to 20TB of bandwidth per month. Dedicated plans also can be purchased as self-managed plans, managed plans, or fully managed plans.
GoDaddy Features
GoDaddy runs on both Linux and Windows operating systems, yet supports just two server-side scripts: PHP and MySQL databases. The hosting company does afford three different traditional options for control panels: cPanel, Plesk and WHM, and its hosting plans come with guaranteed scalability in CPU, memory, entry processes and more. In addition, GoDaddy offers its very own control panel, which affords users a greater range of options for high levels of website customization.
Virtual and dedicated hosting plans offer a variation of the traditional GoDaddy control panel: the Simple Control Panel that is specifically designed for server management. The company also boasts industry-leading uptimes, 50+ FTP users on its shared hosting plans, and unlimited MySQL databases with its Ultimate hosting package.
GoDaddy Data Center Locations and Accelerators
GoDaddy hosting data centers can be found in Europe, Asia and the United States, and are known for their expansiveness. Each data center is supervised by staff 24/7 and utilizes N+1 air conditioning and redundant UPS power for an optimum server environment and backup security.
GoDaddy is also known for its incredibly fast uptimes, which it makes well-known to visitors of its site through their link to a third party research team that measures uptimes of GoDaddy servers and its competitors. For those that are in need of even more speed, GoDaddy also offers its Website Accelerator service, available to those who have purchased an Ultimate Linux plan, don’t have an SSL certificate, and who have their hosting account in the U.S. The Website Accelerator essentially incorporates a CDN and enables an IPv6 dual back for improved overall site performance and markedly faster uptimes.
GoDaddy Hosting Web Protection and Free Installations
Each GoDaddy customer receives incremental server backups at set intervals, while full backups of servers are conducted on a more infrequent schedule. Of additional benefit, data that has been backed-up is not stored within data centers to mitigate the risk of damage on-site. SiteLock security plans can also be purchased for daily malware scans and removals, vulnerabilities scanning, spam blacklist monitoring and site traffic analysis. In fact, GoDaddy has recently won awards for the level of security it affords its customers.
GoDaddy also offers varying amounts of Facebook, Google AdWords and other ad credits for various platforms depending on the hosting package purchased. At minimum, however, each plan includes:
Hosting freebies also include one-click installations through the company’s own Hosting Connection library, which stores over 4 million scripts and applications. WordPress templates and social media tools can also be accessed through the GoDaddy library.
GoDaddy Email
GoDaddy features separate individual and group email hosting packages that offer between 2GB and 4GB of storage per mailbox and utilize Microsoft Outlook® 2010 and Microsoft Outlook® for Mac 2011. GoDaddy email is configured to support IMAP and POP3, and includes virus and spam protection.
Is GoDaddy a Good Hosting Company?
GoDaddy is an immensely popular company that primarily receives strong reviews for its domain selling services; if you’re strictly looking for a domain name, this is probably the company to look in to. That being said, GoDaddy’s hosting plans are also fairly competitive, although not considered industry-leading by many reviewers given that the company places most of its emphasis on domain name selling. Users have also noted the company’s reliable customer service and higher-than average uptime speed.
